RESTAURANT staff raised hundreds of pounds for charity over the bank holiday weekend.
Male staff at the Harvester, in New Road, Chingford, had their legs and chests waxed to raise money to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.
Chingford manager, Terry Williams, said: “The boys were a bit nervous about the waxing but it is for a really good cause so they had to just grin and bear it."
Staff also wore fancy dress and washed cars and hope to have raised at least £500 for its nominated charity, which helps children and young people with life-threatening conditions by granting them a wish.
