GCSE students had another successful year, with over a third getting 10 or more A*-C grades.

Pupils at the Chigwell school also enjoyed another rise in pass rates, up eight percent from last year.

Over a third of students achieved a jaw-dropping 10 or more A*-C grades and over half got eight or more higher level passes.

A further 70 percent of students at the school had five or more grade C's or more, up from last years 62 percent.

57% of students achieved 5 A*-C including English and Maths, a result that is significantly above the national average.

Notable performers include: Zak Soithongsuk, 16, who achieved a stunning 10 A*s and 1 A, Ashneel Dubb with 9 A*s and 3 As, Safoora Safaei-Keshtgar who took home 7 A*s and 5 As.

They were closely followed by Haniyyah Anwar and Amy Cross, who both got 5 A*s and 7 As each. Hannah Sibley, 5 A*s and 4 As and Katherine Ward 1 A* and 11 As.

Headteacher Frances Howarth said “We are absolutely thrilled with the results. Students and staff worked very hard and have achieved the results they deserved. "Equally pleasing are those students who found their work difficult, have come out with very creditable results. We would also like to recognise all the support that parents gave to their youngsters”.
