A special golf day has raised an incredible £22,000 for three charities after generous players teed off.
Over 20 teams played in pleasant weather at the club on the High Road yesterday (Thursday September 3).
The day netted a fantastic £22,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, audio newspapers and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Club Manager James Fuller said: "It was a brilliant day, we actually raised over £10,000 more than we expected because everyone was so generous.
"It's even more impressive when you think of the current financial climate, and I'd personally like to thank everyone who came along and took part."
Teams played a full round of golf.
The winning team were the minstrels, who sported black and white team uniforms.
The day was sponsored by financial firm St James's Place, who have helped to organise the successful event for the past four years.
