THOUSANDS of people are today enjoying the medieval-style Epping Forest Festival.
The annual event, is continuing on Chingford plain until 4pm.
Visitors have been enjoying displays of medieval archery using flaming arrows and swordfights between “Robin Hood” and “The Sheriff of Nottingham”.
There have been activities for all the family including donkey rides, rock climbing and rope-making.
Dozens of historical societies, rotary clubs and local interest groups have set up stalls and there are plenty of refreshments on sale, including hog roasts, Thai food, organic burgers and alcoholic beverages.
