A CHARITY which aids victims of torture and injustice is holding a poetry evening in Walthamstow.
The Waltham Forest branch of Amnesty International is holding the event at The Castle pub in Grosvenor Rise East.
The event will include poetry from among others Darren Hayman, Waen Shepherd, Isobel Dixon and Makola Mayimbika, who is visiting from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The poetry evening will be held in support of Demand Dignity, a global Amnesty International campaign that aims to stop human rights abuses that keep people poor.
All proceeds will go towards the Waltham Forest branch of Amnesty International.
It will take place on Tuesday, September 29 at 7.30pm.
