A PAIR of Olympians took to the catwalk at a star-studded fashion show to raise money for terminally ill children.
Athletes Vicki Barr and Montell Douglas - who both competed at the Beijing Olympics - joined more than 100 other revellers at the event, held at the RS Lounge in Woodford New Road.
The show generated £2,000 for Haven House Hospice which provides respite care and support for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The models showcased a wide selection of trendy designs, all of which were available to buy during the evening.
Haven House fundraiser Jane Seward thanked the celebrities and local businesses that donated a number of glittering prizes for a special raffle.
She said: "There were some amazing raffle prizes including a signed Victoria Beckham book, Lily Allen handbag, a hamper from Mr Simms Olde Sweetshop in South Woodford, a £500 Venture studio experience, a £100 Topshop voucher and Benefit Loughton donated a makeover for 5 people."
These views were echoed by fellow fundraiser Hayley Bridge.
She said: “What a special evening.
"It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the evening and supporting Haven House.
"Special thanks to the RS Lounge, Wardrobe Mistresses, our fabulous models and everyone involved in making this such a fantastic event”.
