A RETIRED greyhound from the Stow has been selected to take part in a national competition.
Walthamstow Retired Greyhound Trust picked three-year-old Tiffany from scores of retired greyhounds from across the region to represent Walthamstow at the Retired Greyhound Trust’s Great Greyhound Gathering.
If Tiffany wins Greyhound of the Year, she could bring a share of a £5,000 prize for Walthamstow Retired Greyhound Trust.
Joy Battley, from the trust, said: “Tiffany is a wonderful dog. The event promises to be a fun family day out and anyone is welcome to come along and show their support for Tiffany."
The charity finds homes for greyhounds after their racing careers and has rehomed more than 100 dogs since the Chingford Road stadium closed last August.
The event takes place at Nottingham race course on Saturday (September 19).
