There were bulging biceps and pumped up pectorals as far as the eye could see as Britain's strongest man competition rolled into town.
The all-day event at Krunch Gym saw three separate contests running, with the search for Britain's strongest man weighing under 105kg, London's strongest man, open to all weights and London's strongest novice.
Families lined a test course outside the Brooker Road Gym to enjoy the spectacle of contestants taking part in several strength contests.
These included the farmers walk, (which involves carrying large weights back and forward and completing full turns); The Axle deadlift and the tyre flip.
Krunch Gym owner Neale Cranwell said the crowds loved the day.
He said: "It went very, very well, it wasn't the best weather but we still had close to 1,000 people come along.
"Everyone said how nice the gym looked and we had lots of enthusiastic first-timers having a go in the novice category."
The Britain's strongest man organisers agreed and have asked Krunch Gym to hold the final again next year.
