MORE than 80 young people attended an awards ceremony to celebrate their achievements.
The event, called I Make A Difference, was designed, developed and led by young people.
People aged five to 18 years won awards for a variety of reasons including sports coaching or caring for disabled parents.
Winners included Alex Bain, for his personal progress since attending a pupil referral unit, Mohammed Suli Mohammedi, for his work championing young people and the William Morris school council, which has campaigned against bullying.
The event was held at Leyton Orient football ground, in Brisbane Road.
