TAKE a seat at the dinner party from hell this weekend, as the Woodhouse Players present Moira Buffini’s aptly-titled black satirical comedy Dinner.
The enigmatic Paige is hosting a get-together for her husband to celebrate the release of his latest book. But why has she invited these particular friends, why the unusual dishes and who is the mysterious waiter she has hired over the internet?
As the strange evening unfolds, revenge, it seems, is most definitely a dish best served cold.
Director Gary Adams tells me: “It’s a very funny play, but there are some really dramatic moments as well. I think the audience will leave thoroughly entertained.”
Dinner is performed at the Welsh Church Hall, Leytonstone High Road, on Saturday, September 19, Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 8pm. Matinee, Saturday, 3pm. Tickets: 020 8504 3872 or tickets@woodhouseplayers.co.uk (£7/£4 concs.)
