TWO vets and four nurses took on a gruelling triathlon to raise nearly £3,000 for Guidedogs for the Blind.
The team, from Forest Veterinary Centre, in Hemnall Street, Epping, took on the Lake District-set Coniston challenge involving a 3km canoe paddle, 10km hike up the Old Man of Coniston and a 17km bike ride.
With an impressively quick time of 6hrs and 23mins the Forest vets finished 6th fastest out of 42 teams and raised £2,800 for Guidedogs.
Vet Deborah White said: “We would like to thank all of our clients and sponsors for their generosity and if anyone else would like to make a donation they can visit justgiving.com/forestfruits or visit the surgeries in Epping, South Woodford and Harlow.”
