A BLAZE ripped through a Walthamstow house damaging both the ground and first floor.
Thirty fire-fighters were called at 8.05pm to tackle the fire at the two-story terraced home in Alexandra Road, on Saturday.
A London Ambulance spokesman said a man in his 50s was initially treated at the scene but was later taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital by ambulance.
The fire was extinguished at 11.32pm.
Fire-fighter are investigating the cause of the fire.
