A TEENAGER from Walthamstow has been charged with the murder of a man in Hackney.
Kieron Lawrence, 18, and a 17-year-old have been accused of murdering Edward Thompson on September 6.
They are both currently remanded in custody and are due to appear at the Old Bailey on December 24.
Mr Thompson was shot while in a blue Volkswagen Polo in stationery traffic at the junction between Amhurst Road and Marcon Place at 3.45pm.
The 29-year-old was driven by friends to Homerton Hospital where he later died.
A post-mortem examination carried out on Tuesday, September 8, gave the cause of death as a single gun shot wound to the chest.
Detective Chief Inspector John Macdonald, who is leading the investigation, said: “Eddie was a family man and devoted to his three young children."
Two men, both aged 20 years-old, were arrested in Hackney in connection with the murder and are currently on bail to return in October, pending further enquiries.
Police are still appealing for information. If you can help call the incident room on 8345 3985 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
