AN inquest is to be heard tomorrow to decide the future of a valuable collection of Bronze age items found in a local field.
The hoard, which is made of fragments of blades, tools, valuable coppers and ingots is up for grabs by museums after the treasure inquest tomorrow (September 23.
Under the treasure act 1996, all finds must be reported to authorities to allow museums the chance to buy them.
The museum is then given a timeframe to raise the necessary money and the proceeds are then split between the finder and the owner of the land it was found on.
Epping Forest District Museum Collection Officer Sue Davies, was unable to confirm if they had shown an interest but added that finds of this type were sought after.
