WITH just over a week to go until the second ever Woodford Festival, organisers have unveiled more details of a Strictly Come Dancing-style event they hope will get residents' feet tapping.
On Friday October 9, people will get the chance to quickstep, rumba, waltz and cha cha cha to their hearts content during a special ballroom dance event at the Woodford Wells Sports Club in Monkhams Lane.
Running between 8pm and 11.30pm, the night will also see an interval cabaret show by Woodford's own professional dance duo Damian Duffy and Alicia Bonet-Tyler, who will show off their skills with some Brazilian Samba, Forro, Gafiera and Zouk Lambada moves.
Music will be provided by the Jeff Short Band and singers.
