ARNOLD Schwarzenegger has been invited to be a special guest at the 2012 Olympic Games.

The Governor of California, who used to train at Charles Bennett gym in Forest Gate, near Leytonstone, has been invited to the Games by the Mayor of Newham Sir Robin Wales.

In his invite, Sir Robin said:”The reason why I would like you to be in our company is that the vast majority of the Games, some 60 per cent, will be held within Newham, much of it within walking distance of your former training ground in Forest Gate."

Mr Schwarzenegger has yet to respond.
