COMPLAINTS against Essex Police have risen by more than a third in the last year.
Figures released by police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) show there were 908 complaint cases recorded between 2008 and 2009, an increase of 34 per cent.
The number of complaints were well above the national rise of eight per cent.
It also saw the number of allegations against officers increase by 43 per cent, the IPCC said.
