I was walking to work towards Walthamstow Central on Friday, September 18, at about 9am, after dropping my child at school in Church Hill.

The 212 bus pulled up by the bus stop just outside the ‘one stop’ shop. The bus did not pull right into the bay because there was heavy traffic.

However, he opened the door for the passengers to get off. A cyclist took it upon himself to pass on the inside of the bus (nearest the pavement), cutting through the bay area.

A young boy of about 15 was getting off the bus and the cyclist ploughed straight into him knocking him to the ground. I was appalled at the actions of the cyclist, particularly when he got up and rode off (through a red light), leaving the young man on the floor. Myself and some others who were passing or getting off the bus stopped to see if the boy was OK which, although very winded, he initially was. Hopefully the boy is still ok.

I would like to say to the cyclist, I have reported you, because I was disgusted at the lack of acknowledgement you showed towards someone you had knocked over. You, a grown man, did this to a young boy, and then deliberately rode through a red light to get away. I hope the cyclist reads this and owns up to his crime.
