A DAY of police action continued this evening with officers targeting another address marked out as a potential location for drugs.
In a joint operation organised between Essex Police, Epping Forest District Council and the RSPCA a team of officers forcibly entered a property on Waltham Abbey's Ninefields estate.
A specialist team of officers was used to force the door of the property before an extra team went in to search the premises.
The operation is part of an ongoing police drive in the Epping Forest District targeting priority offenders.
Intelligence had placed the Waltham Abbey property as source for heroin and crack cocaine, but on the day no drugs were found.
Sgt Becky Brown who headed the operation said: “At the end of the day we will not tolerate any kind of drug activity at all. If people give us information we will act on it and we will execute a warrant to show we are taking it seriously.
“Sometimes you don't find anything but you always gain information from these operations and that feeds back in.”
