A DECISION on whether to allow Tesco to build a massive development in Highams Park will be made next month.
Councillors will decide whether Tesco is allowed to build the massive development known as Highams Green on Tuesday, October 13.
Planning committee members opted to defer the decision earlier this month, asking for more detailed information on the potential impact the development could have on traffic and businesses in the area.
Tesco want to build a 5,523sq ft 24-hour supermarket, 253 homes, 350-underground car parking spaces, and seven shops in an industrial estate near Larkshall Road, Highams Park.
There is significant local opposition to the development from the Highams Park Forum, the Highams Park Society and the Highams Park Residents' Association.
However, there are residents who also support Tesco's plans.
