HUNDREDS of sweet toothed youngsters got the chance to tuck into a range of tasty treats during the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' at Bancroft's School.
The sound of satisfied munching filled the grounds of the school in Woodford Green High Road, last Friday (September 25), as pupils and staff did their bit to support the global event - which was organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.
Participants baked a variety of tempting goodies which were sold throughout the day, raising £750 for the charity.
Bancroft's spokeswoman, Karen Rogers, said the event was enthusiastically supported by the entire school.
She said: "Whilst the pupils crowded round the individual stalls eager to buy cookies, cakes and doughnuts, members of staff also enjoyed an array of home-made delicacies during their break."
The charity day was the third of its type held by Macmillan Cancer Support, which works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer through practical, medical and financial support.
