Leytonstone's East Side Jazz club hosts Benn Clatworthy on Tuesday (October 6) at the Lord Rookwood on Cann Hall Road.
Doors open at 8.30pm and entry is price TBC (although the club usually charges around £5 to get in).
Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a special evening with Sally Vinson on Monday (October 5) at their HQ in the local branch of the Royal British Legion.
The Standard music venue in Walthamstow hosts four unsigned bands on Thursday (October 1), including Progress 2 and Nine Blind.
Entry is £5 with a band flyer, £6 without, and doors open between 8pm and 8.30pm.
On Friday (October 2), tribute act Absolute Bowie plays the esteemed venue.
Tickets cost £9 and doors open around 8pm.
And on Saturday (October 3) it's the turn of the Kounterfeit Kinks, same time and place.
Also on Saturday down at the Sheepwalk in Leytonstone, another What's Cookin night hosts rock blue outfit The Hightown Crows.
Support comes from banjo duo Bluefint, and things get going around 8.30pm.
And next Wednesday (October 7), “weird country” group Ox play the same venue, alongside folky roots group The Epstein.
This Friday (October 2) at Walthamstow's Plough sees a headline show from local rock band The Cyklones, starting around 8pm.
On Sunday, the same venue sees Walthamstow Folk club put on a performance by singer-songwriter Bill Caddick.
It all starts at 7.30pm and costs £6, or £5 for concessions.
Meanwhile Monday (October 5) is Blues Jam Night at the Plough.
