A FAMILY court will be opening its doors to the public for an open day.
The court, which sits at Stratford Magistrates Court, hears cases involving Waltham Forest residents.
It will be hosting a range of activities on October 10.
Family courts make decisions relating to children's welfare, including considering applications for care.
Visitors will be able to take part in mock hearings, meet family court professionals and browse exhibition stands from children's care agencies.
There will also be a children's activity area.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm and is free.
