POLICE made a series of drugs arrests on an Ilford estate early this morning (Wednesday 30).
Acting on local intelligence, officers made five arrests – four men and one woman – and seized a large quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia from addresses on the Buttsbery Estate.
The arrests were coordinated by Loxford Safer Neighbourhood Team, the Territorial Support Group and the Dog section. The suspects were all taken to Ilford Police Station for questioning.
PS Fyfe of Loxford Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “This is a very good result not only for us but for the local residents.
“This is just one of the initiatives we are working on with regards to anti-social behaviour in Loxford Ward”.
