A CANCER sufferer from Epping awoke the day after an emergency trip to hospital to find that her car had been stolen.
Jill Reeves, of Coronation Hill, returned from St Bartholomew's Hospital in central London, where is she currently receiving chemotherapy for lymphoma, at around 10pm on Tuesday night (September 22).
She awoke at around 7am on Wednesday to find her dark blue Ford Fiesta had gone.
Mrs Reeves relies on the car to travel to the hospital for treatment, with husband Ken driving her into London in the case of emergencies, such as on Tuesday.
Her daughter Victoria Costello said: “This is going to be a massive inconvenience to my mum.
“The chemotherapy really affects her and she could have to go into hospital at any moment, so my Dad has to drive her and now he can't.
“It's not as if it's some expensive car, and it's a couple of years old. I'm furious.”
Anyone with information on the theft should call Essex Police on 0300 333 4444.
