FOUR authors of books on medieval England are to be the star attractions of a new book fair to be held at the annual Harold Day event in Waltham Abbey later this month.
The fair will be the first of its kind in the event's history, and will feature the writers talking about their work, and signing copies of their books.
The authors are Woodford Green historical novelist and headteacher Paul Doherty, battlefield expert Charles Jones, Old English specialist Steve Pollington, and Simon Lister, who has published a trilogy of books on King Arthur.
Two members of the event's organising committee came up with the idea after witnessing a similar event during a trip to France.
The fair will be held as part of the day's festivities in the Abbey Church Centre in Abbey Gardens between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, October 17.
