A NEW exhibition by an acclaimed artist described as a “modern-day Lowry” starts today (Saturday October 3) in Epping.

Paul Horton, who will be on hand to meet and sign copies of his works at Artisan Fine Art in the High Street from 12 noon, has interested collectors with his modern landscape works, some of which have fetched up to £15,000.

Speaking before the opening at the gallery, Mr Horton said: “I love meeting new people and nothing gives me greater pleasure than to give people enjoyment through my art.

“Fans of my work will be pleased to see the familiar industrial scenes and working men that have featured in my art for many years, but with some light-hearted trips to the seaside and countryside too.”

The gallery is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9.30am till 6.00pm, but is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The exhibition runs for six weeks.
