MORE than 40 daredevil volunteers will walk across a fiery bed of hot coals this evening (Saturday) to raise money for Haven House children's hospice.
The event, at the Football Academy in Loughton, hopes to raise more than £7,000 for the home in Woodford Green.
A total of 47 people are expected to take part, with each volunteer aiming to raise a minimum of £150 each in sponsorship.
Haven House Community Fundraiser Penny Sturdy said: “We're all looking forward to it very much. We've got all ages taking part and it should be a really fun evening.
“We're hoping to raise quite a bit. One man has already got £1,500 in sponsorship already."
The event gets going at 7.30pm.
