A HEARING to decide the fate of a nightclub at the centre of allegations surrounding a mass brawl in Epping High Street has been called off at the last minute.

Councillors were due to consider Club One9Five's licence this morning, but complications with "admin procedures" have delayed the hearing by 48 hours, according to the district council.

A new hearing will now be held on Wednesday (October 7) at 2pm.

It comes after the large-scale brawl outside the club in the early hours of last Saturday (September 26), which left 13 men in hospital and many others with minor injuries.

Several were stabbed during the violence.

Club One9Five's licence was suspended last Thursday (October 1) and it will remain closed until the hearing.

The suspension was made on the request of Essex Police over concerns about “serious crime and serious disorder”.

No-one from Club One9Five has been available for comment.

A 46-year-old man from Harlow was arrested and bailed till December on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the mayhem, but police enquiries remain on-going.

Two men who were seriously injured in the violence are expected to make a full recovery.

Anyone with any information about the brawl is urged to contact Harlow CID on 0300 333 4444.
