A DETERMINED group of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have taken part in a range of lung-busting events to raise money for charity.
Dozens of youngsters from the 19th Epping Forest South troop made £1,000 for Water Aid by getting involved in a number of challenging jogs and hikes over the past few months.
Jeanette Briggs, leader of the Cubs who meet at Grove Hall in Grosvenor Road, Wanstead, said she was proud of all the youngsters involved.
She said: "The boys did a sponsored jog around Christchurch Green and took part in several hikes.
"We are really pleased to have raised this money and to be able to support Water Aid.
"All the boys did a great job, and we look forward to presenting the cheque on Sunday."
A cheque will be presented by the group to a representative from Water Aid during a service at the United Reformed Church on Sunday (October 11).
The charity works to give people in the developing world access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.
