POLICE have said they fear someone could be killed at Club One9Five unless action is taken against the nightspot soon.
The shock comments come ahead of a council hearing this afternoon to decide the fate of the Epping club's licence, following a mass brawl outside its premises last week.
A police dossier of evidence against the club, which will be considered at the meeting, reveals that it was actually EIGHT men who were stabbed in the night of violence, with more than 100 people thought to be involved.
The documents shed new light on the night's events, following two weeks of near-silence from officers.
Other disclosures include the fact that reserve police had to be drafted in to deal with the mayhem, and that the ambulance service "struggled to cope" with the numbers of injured.
A statement from the police, in the documents, says: "[We] are of the opinion that...procedures under the Licensing Act are inappropriate in this case...as previous interventions by the police have failed to stop the escalation of crime and disorder.
"The interventions include drug prevention advice and screening, meetings to prevent glass leaving the club, meetings and advice to assist with evidence collection such as CCTV retrieval and meetings to address non-cooperative door staff from 195 Club assisting the police with the investigation of crime reported at this premises.
"I am of the opinion that if emergency measures are not taken, such is the serious nature of crime and disorder, that someone may lose their life through an assault at this premises [sic]."
A total of 47 incidents have allegedly occurred at the club over the last 12 months, including six incidents of grievous bodily harm, ten incidents of actual bodily harm, seven other "disturbances", seven thefts and six common assaults.
Cases of horrific incidents in or outside the club include two men having their jaws broken on separate occasions and another having his ear bitten off.
See guardian-series.co.uk later today for the latest news on the licence hearing, which is being held at Epping Forest District Council's offices at 2pm.
