GENEROUS nursery school children were given the chance to meet their TV hero when they earned a visit from Peppa Pig for their charitable actions.
The lower kindergarten group at Coopersale Hall School, in Flux's Lane, Epping, held a sponsored performance of the Bing Bong Song in aid of Tommy's which provides help to babies with birth difficulties.
After a good deal of singing and arm waving with their parents joining in, the children pulled in a total of £599 in sponsorship for the charity.
As the UK nursery with the highest amount of money raised, the youngsters were rewarded by Tommy's with a real-life visit from children's TV star Peppa.
Lower kindergarten coordinator Janet Fentiman said: “We are very proud of all our children and our parents for raising the money “They all loved the song and dance and enjoyed meeting Peppa Pig. If you were good she'd give you a hug.”
