RECENTLY-formed local theatre company Femme Fatale will present its first ever production, Scrubbers, at Leytonstone Library next Friday, October 16, at 7.30pm.
The play is a heart-warming tale of five women who bond together to improve their dull lives.
Co-founder and cast member Diane Lefley says of the production: “It’s a bit of fun, with a lot of laughs and music, but it’s still a very poignant story.”
Diane founded the company just a few months ago with fellow amateur actress Hazel Bell, who lives in Walthamstow, and says the pair can’t wait to get on the stage.
“It wouldn’t be good to say that we weren’t nervous, you need a bit of an adrenaline rush, but we are very excited about the show.”
Femme Fatale has been asked back to Leytonstone Library at Christmas to perform the annual panto.
Tickets are available in advance from the library in person or on the door on the night (£6/£5 concs. including a free glass or wine of soft drink)
