A SKATEBOARD park is due to re-open after a complete refurbishment.
Ongar Town Council has said it is putting the finishing touches to its facility in Bansons Lane which will re-open in the next few weeks with extra features, seating and litter bins.
Designed by skatepark group Freestyle Ltd the new area will have an upper part for skateboarding and a lower level with seating and an observation area.
The upper level will contain an number of new facilities including two quarter pipes and a flat rail for skate aficionados.
Town council clerk Mark Squire said: “As well as attracting the local core skateboarders, the park will provide the opportunity for a whole new generation of skateboarders in Ongar.”
