VOCAL chords will be warbling at a concert later this month, courtesy of a top vocal group which has appeared on national television.

The Solid Harmony Choir, from Newham, will be playing at the United Reform Church in Wanstead on Saturday October 17.

The group has 25 members and has been coached by vocal expert Carrie Fisher from television show Fame Academy. It features singers from nine to 19, and appeared in the BBC Sing Up Choirs Prom in September.

Alongside the group, Methodist minister Eleanor Jackson will treat the crowd to a rendition of Getting To Know You from the popular music The King And I, while teenage piano-playing sensation Chris Wilson will play some jazz favourites.

The event, entitled Autumn Colours, starts at 7pm is part of the Churches Together in Wanstead concert series. Call David Spark on 020 8989 2609 for more information.
