FAMILIES turned out for an afternoon of activities and food and drink at the annual Apple Day.
Hundreds of people visited Vestry House Museum, in Vestry House, Walthamstow, on Saturday for the event.
The day, which is part of a national event, was organised by the East London Organic Gardeners to celebrate the fruit and the orchards they come from.
There was lots of apple cakes, chutneys and drinks for sale, and children had a go at bobbing for apples and using an apple press.
