X-FACTOR hopeful Rachel Adediji had her confidence knocked by coming in the bottom two this week, her sister says.

The former Leyton Sixth Form student gave a faultless performance of Robbie Williams' Let Me Entertain You and wowed the audience and judges with her transformation by the ITV1 show's stylists.

But her older sister, Sandra Okunnu, who was in the audience on Saturday and Sunday said her sister was disappointed she didn't win the public's favour and had to compete against Kandy Rain to stay in the competition.

She said: “She looked so sad. My little sister, Priscilla, was crying and I was close to tears. But I feel many people don't know her yet.

"I think it is a confidence shock and has knocked her off balance because she thought she did well.

“We were really proud of her though. It was an amazing performance. She had so much energy on stage. The transformation was amazing too. She's never been one to wear heels because she's a bit of a tomboy.”

Rachel has been performing since she was two years old and commuted to Leyton Sixth Form from her home in Custom House because she was impressed with the performance art course there.

After her last failed attempt on X-Factor in which she reached the boot camp stage, she decided to have another go and deferred a place at university in order to compete on the show.

Her sister said the re-style which made her sister look similar to singer and fashion icon Grace Jones wasn't really Rachel's style and that her sister is more at home singing ballads by Celine Dion.

She added: “It wasn't really her kind of music. But she has moved on and when I spoke to her she said she cannot wait to perform.

“It is a tough competition this year. I hope she stays in until the end, but if she doesn't make it she won't give up and will find another way.”
