LEADERS from three faiths in the borough met to discuss each religion's approach to animals in society last week.
The East London Three Faiths Forum met at Woodford Liberal Synagogue, in Marlborough Road, on Thursday 8, with Rev Robert Hampson of Holy Trinity Church in South Woodford speaking alongside Rabbi Richard Jacobi and Mrs Khola Hassan.
The topic of 'Our Attitude to Animals' gave each leader the chance to draw on their own personal experiences with animals and what each religion had to say on this important subject.
Rev Hampson said: “There were over fifty people at the meeting, and was remarkable for the complete agreement which we all had in the humane treatment of animals.”
