ALL systems were go at Daiglen School when it opened its state-of-the-art IT suite.
An audience of parents, staff and pupils looked on as the new suite of laptops and computer equipment was officially declared open by chair of governors Ray Allison.
Mr Allison is in his last year as governor at the school, in Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill, having served there for 24 years.
Daiglen was granted planning permission for the IT room expansion last year and has said it will offer a bespoke room for state-of-the-art computing as well as providing internet access for the whole school.
Headteacher Mary Bradfield said: “I am delighted with this new addition to the school’s facilities. IT is an essential skill for young people to master and these up-to-the-minute resources will enable us to deliver lessons of the highest quality. Our IT teacher can’t wait to start.”
