TWO areas in Redbridge are among the UK's top 20 'car crime hotspots', it has been revealed.
Woodford Green (IG8) and Redbridge (IG4) are some of the worst locations in Britain for vehicle thefts or the thefts of items from vehicles.
According to insurance quotation requests from price comparison website Moneysupermarket, 3.39 percent of people in the Redbridge IG4 postcode had suffered some kind of vehicle-related theft in the 12 months to August 2009, the third-worst location in the country.
In Woodford Green, 2.99 percent of people experienced this type of crime, putting it in 12th place.
Other areas featured on the list were Romford town centre, Buckhurst Hill and Hornchurch.
