BLACK History Month is already underway and Waltham Forest Council is at the heart of celebrating the achievements and history of Black African and Caribbean communities.
Waltham Forest is a wonderfully diverse community where people from different backgrounds work hard to improve the borough.
As a black, female mayor of Waltham Forest, I am regularly invited to events across our borough and it is a real inspiration to see the contribution of black artists, musicians, writers, volunteers, intellectuals and community activists to making Waltham Forest a culturally vibrant place to live.
Take advantage of this celebration and do your best to support the events provided by council.
Labour Cllr Anna Mbachu, Mayor of Waltham Forest.
