CHILDREN will be banned from buying eggs and flour as part of a clampdown on anti-social behaviour on Halloween.
Older teenagers will have masks confiscated if they misbehave and residents will be able to display a poster with the message ‘no trick or treat’ here.
Council Mobile CCTV vans will be patrolling areas which are traditionally worst affected by anti-social behaviour on October 31 and police will visit primary school to advise children on safe ways of trick or treating.
The council says there was a 43 per cent decrease in reports of anti-social behaviour on Halloween and hopes the new measures will achieve a greater reduction.
