THE morning walk to class will be that little bit more pleasant at one secondary school after students decorated the entrance with colourful wall murals.
Pupils at St John's School, in Tower Road, Epping, gave their old building a new lease of life with the mural, which was completed as part of their GCSE coursework.
The students based their design on the school's Tree of Knowledge emblem, which they then decorated with imagery based on the different subjects they are taught.
They were helped in their task by the school's artist-in-residence Philip Melling.
He said: “The entrance, which is used by students during the day and visitors in the evening, has benefited greatly from its new look, making everyone feel more welcome.”
