AN enrichment manager who works at a Walthamstow college has been shortlisted for a national award.
Kiechelle Degale, who works at Sir George Monoux College, Chingford Road, stands to win a STAR award from the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) for her work on the college's enrichment programme.
The programme offers students the chance to take part in a range of extracurricular activities such as sporting events and cultural celebrations.
Ms Degale, who also runs the college's Every Child Matters campaign, made the shortlist after being selected from thousands of nominations in the 'Responding to Learner Needs' category.
She has also been involved in implementing skills-based programmes at the college, which are now part of the college's curriculum.
Now in their sixth year, the STAR Awards aim to celebrate the achievements of staff in the further education sector.
