BOLLYWOOD dancers from Mauritius will be performing in Walthamstow at an event to celebrate Diwali.
Nalini Dance Group will perform a modern interpretation of Bollywood, Indian style dancing, when they showcase their skills at the Assembly Hall in Forest Road.
The dance group are well known in Mauritius and are directed by choreographer Nalini Aubeeluck while their visit to Walthamstow has been arranged by Jason Mokhoon, 40, of Clyde Place, Leyton.
The dancers will also perform in Birmingham, Edinburgh and Catania in Sicily as part of a European tour.
Indian singer Sonu Nigam will also be performing at the event at 8pm in Walthamstow on Friday, October 30.
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Light, is celebrated across South Asia as well as Britain among Hindus, Jains and Sikhs.
It is a New Year festival in the Vikrama calendar, which normally falls at the end of October or early November, and represents the triumph of good over evil.
