CEREALS, pasta, and vegetables were among the food gathered together by generous pupils for Braeside Junior School's Harvest Festival.
Children at the school, in Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill, were also given a special assembly where each class performed a poem about the Harvest season.
Songs where sung in praise of Harvest time, before the bounty of jars, packets and boxes was handed over to the Salvation Army for distribution.
School secretary Debbie Collins said: “Rob Davis from the Salvation Army was extremely grateful for the very generous gifts given by the children.”
