IT WAS 'all aboard' at Woodbridge High School today (Thursday) as police met schoolchildren for a special day learning about the importance of travel safety.
Pupils in year 7 at the Woodford Green school were paid a visit by members of the Roding Safer Neighbourhoods Team and the British Transport Police.
The officers answered questions about keeping safe while using all kinds of different transport, from buses and trains, to cycling or walking to and from school. London Buses also sent a double-decker down to the school as part of the event.
Head of year 7, Mr Murphy, said it was important for pupils to meet police officers at a young age to build relationships with the police.
The event was deemed such a success that a repeat visit has been planned for December.
