FED up with waiting for that pothole to be fixed? Unhappy with the state of your local library?

Frustrated residents will get the chance to tell the council what they really think about its services during a series of face-to-face meetings from Monday.

Conservative council leader Keith Prince will meet with the public for 'casual' chats at venues across the borough during the next few months as part of the 'Have your say....we're listening' scheme.

Cllr Prince will face the music for the first time when he hosts the opening meeting at The Mall in Ilford town centre on Monday.

The initiative, which is a bid to prove to residents that their views are taken seriously by the council, has been dismissed as a publicity stunt by opposition politicians.

Monday's event will begin at 12 noon.

A council spokeswoman said: "Cllr Prince will be in The Mall for anyone who wants to have an informal chat about improvements in the Borough. No appointment is necessary.

"Cllr Prince is hoping to meet as many residents as possible."

Residents who can not make Monday's event can contact Cllr Prince any time by email to: leader@redbridge.gov.uk or by calling: 8708 2121.
