THE man who died in road crash on the M25 has been identified.
Ian Roberts, 63, from Coventry, was killed in a crash involving two lorries and a car on the anti-clock wise stretch of the motorway between Theydon Bois and Navestock.
One lorry driver, a 23-year-old man from Spalding, Lincolnshire, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He has now been released on bail pending further enquiries until January 11.
The accident on Thursday at around 11.30am caused traffic chaos for drivers as all lanes remained closed until 5pm, when one lane was re-opened, while the other two were re-opened at 7pm by highways at 7pm.
Delays were also experienced on the clockwise section as motorists slowed down to see what had happened.
Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call the police collision investigation unit at Chigwell on 0300 333 4444.
