A PERVERTED community support officer who boasted about having sex with a 15-year-old boy on an internet chat site has been spared jail.
Daniel Cotham, 25, who worked at Ilford police station - and was also a Scout master - bragged about his relationship with the teenager to another man online with whom he shared explicit pictures.
Cotham, of Ripple Road, Barking, was given a three year community supervision order and told to attend a rehabilitation course for sex offenders after being found guilty of inciting the man to send him indecent images of children.
The offence took place between February 2005 and October 2006.
Cotham, who has been sacked by the Met, must also register his computer with police, is not allowed to live or work with people under the age of 15 and has been banned from using internet chat rooms.
A judge, at Snaresbrook Crown Court, also ordered him to be placed on the sex offenders register for five years.
